Things You'll Need
Instructions
Bases
Create two bases on opposite ends of the map. Most game variants have two teams of four to eight players each that battle against each other for a set period of time. Some of the objects you can use to build a base include small shield doors, medium shield doors, large shield doors, crates, sandbags, barricades, building blocks, bunkers, towers and rooms.
Decide where you're going to place spawn points at each base. Spawn points are areas where players re-spawn after they die in battle. You'll also need to place initial spawn points, which are where players start at the beginning of the game.
Make one base red and another base blue to help players identify which base belongs to which team by selecting the walls you used to make a base and changing the color option.
Vehicles, Weapons, Powerups and Teleporters
Decide whether you want to have vehicles on your map. For smaller maps, you might not want to use vehicles; larger maps, however, are great for vehicles. Try placing your vehicles next to each base. Give each team the same number of vehicles. Vehicle options include banshees, falcons, ghosts, revenant, scorpions, shade turrets, mongooses, warthogs and wraiths.
Decide whether you want to have teleporters on your map. If you have a larger map you should use teleporters because without them getting around the map will take too long. Place one teleporter at each base and another teleporter toward the middle of the map. Decide whether you want to make a two-way or one-way teleporter by selecting the teleporter and changing the one- vs. two-way option.
Decide what types of weapons you want on your map and where you want to place them. If you're building a larger map you might want to use long-range weapons like sniper rifles. If you have a lot of vehicles on your map add rocket launchers so players have a way to fight against vehicles effectively.
Decide whether you want to have powerups on your map. Types of powerups include active camo, overshield and custom powerups. The overshield gives players extra health while the camo makes players invisible for a set period of time. If you have a larger map you might want to have more than one powerup while smaller maps might only need one powerup.
