Standard Definition AV Cable
All versions of the Xbox 360 come with an audio/video cable that is intended for standard definition televisions. Although you can use this cable on an HDTV, the quality will be less than desirable. On-screen text may be unreadable and the resolution will be lower than what your HDTV is capable of.
High Definition Cable(s)
The Xbox 360 offers two options for HDTVs: component and HDMI. These HD options support resolutions up to 1080i (the highest available), and are limited only by the specifications of your HDTV. Excluding the Xbox 360 Pro, which came with a component cable, HDMI and component cables are not bundled with the Xbox 360, so must be purchased separately. Older generation Xbox 360 consoles (manufactured before 2007) do not have HDMI ports, but still support component cables.
Power Supply
The Xbox 360 includes a large, separate power supply that must be connected to the Xbox and an available AC wall outlet. Although the design of the Xbox 360 power supply has not changed since the introduction of the Xbox 360, the voltage for every power supply beginning with the Xbox 360 Elite has been increased from 150 watts to 175 watts.
