How to Transfer Data to an HDD Xbox

A removable hard drive (HDD) serves as the Xbox 360's primary storage device, with a maximum 250 gigabyte capacity, depending on the model. Now, with Microsoft's consistent software updates, Xbox 360's owners can use the console's built-in memory management tools to transfer data off your memory unit or USB flash drive to your HDD. The console has two useful functions for people hoping to transfer data to the HDD: move or copy.

Go to "My Xbox," scroll to "System Settings" and press "A."

    • 5

      Highlight "Memory" then press "A."

    • 6

Choose the USB flash drive or memory unit from the resulting storage selection list by highlighting it and pressing "A."

    • 7
