Video games give you the ability to live out actions that are not possible every day. Flight simulation video games allow you to control various airplanes and jets through a variety of settings. Many flight games have been released for the Xbox 360 gaming console.
  1. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation

    • Ace Combat is the sixth release in the Ace Combat series. Developed and published by Namco, this game was released for the Xbox 360 in 2007. You control a variety of aircraft to battle foes in the air and on the ground. You will battle through a large mass of enemy forces, but the arcade controls gives you ample amount of firepower to make it through. The planes also come with special weapons that are different for each aircraft. You can play through the single campaign or a number of multiplayer options which include battle royale, siege battle, team and cooperation battle. Up to 16 different players can join into these battles at once. Ace Combat 6 also supports downloadable content which includes additional missions and aircraft to be used during game play.

    After Burner Climax

    • Released in April 2010, After Burner Climax is a flight combat simulation game. This game was developed and published by Sega as a downloadable game for the Xbox 360. After Burner Climax is an action-orientated game that focuses on high-speed dogfights between two jet planes. You are able to choose between many different types of planes, including F-14 Tomcat, F-15E Strike Eagle and F/A-18E Super Hornet. You are also able to customize the paint job for each of your aircraft. This game supports only single player modes due to it being a downloadable version of the original After Burner. Completing missions in the arcade mode will unlock additional secrets such as extra stages to play. This game is relatively short and you can complete it in under an hour.

    Heroes Over Europe

    • Heroes Over Europe is a flight simulation game based on the events that occurred during World War II. This game was developed by Transmission Games and published by Ubisoft in September 2009. This is the sequel to the game Heroes Over Pacific which was also based on World War II, but set in Japan and other Pacific locations. In Heroes Over Europe you control one of three different pilots--an American, a Briton and a New Zealander--as you fly through 14 different missions. The game features 40 different planes that were used in combat during those times, such as the P-40 B Tomahawk and Spitfire Mk V-b. Heroes Over Europe also supports multiplayer game modes which include dogfight, team dogfight and survivor modes.
