How to Connect 2 XBox Consoles

Microsoft's Xbox 360 systems can be linked together with a system link cable or Ethernet cable. This allows users to play co-operatively while using the same game. The maximum number of connections is 16 on a network. This is very useful as some games require co-operative play in teams. This differs from split-screen since it uses more than one console on different television screens.

Instructions

      Turn off the Xboxes.

      Insert a system link cable or an Ethernet cable into the appropriate jack on the Xboxes. Both connections are in the back of the Xbox.

      Connect the Xboxes to separate monitors using the Xboxes RCA connectors. The jack for the connection is on the back of the Xbox. Match the cable color to the color of the jack, so red connects to red, white to white and yellow to yellow.

      Turn on the Xboxes. The screen will display a menu of instructions to complete the process.
