Beginning the Quest
Journey to the city of Anvil and make your way to the Temple of Dibella. Across the street, there is a prophet. Talk to him until he asks you if you are worthy of defeating Umaril the Unfeathered. Answer with any ̶0;No̶1; answer to get his explanation on how to walk the Pilgram̵7;s Way and visit each wayshrine of the Nine Divines. Pray at each of these shrines to begin the quest.
Entering the Shrine of the Crusaders
The first relic is contained inside this shrine. To enter, journey to Vanua where the Ayleid ruins are. Dive into the Upper Niben River to a stairway that brings you out of the water. At the first T in the road, go left. Once you hit the large chamber, take the tunnel to the north to enter the Shrine of the Crusader.
Helm of the Crusaders
Once you have entered the shrine, make your way down into the catacombs. Drop down at the first opportunity, then take a left, then the first right and then another left. You will see the helm on an altar, but it is gated off. Loot the bodies here to find Sir Amiel̵7;s key, diary and ring (all of which you will need later). Continue through the hole in the wall and drop down into a maze of more catacombs. Make your way northbound until you reach two doors. Take either one to enter the altar and retrieve the helm.
Cuirass of the Crusaders
The Priory of the Knights of the Nine is marked on your map, between Skingrad and Bravil. Journey here and unlock the seal with the ring of Sir Amiel to enter. Here you will enter a training room. There will be a door leading to the undercroft. Enter here to find the cuirass. You obtain the cuirass after you individually fight and defeat eight of nine knights. Talk to the individual knights, post-defeat, to get the lowdown on the other relics.
Boots of the Crusaders
Travel west of Imperial City to the Shrine of Kynareth. After talking to Avita Vesnia, she will tell you where to go for your next test, which is the Grove of Trials. Sheath your weapon, as this requires that you not use it. Look for a ring of white trees and wait inside. When an animal enters, let it attack you, only defending yourself, but not retaliating. You are then deemed worthy and shown the secret door leading to the boots.
Gauntlets of the Crusaders
Go to Chorrol and make your way to the chapel. A priest there will tell you of a man named Kellen in the undercroft of the chapel. Talk to this man about his curse and return to the priest, who will inform you that Kellen̵7;s curse will be lifted if you take it on yourself. Pray at the altar, and when asked if you will take Kellen̵7;s curse, select ̶0;Yes.̶1; Use the one-use Lay Hands on Kellen and take on his curse. Make your way back to the altar and pick up the gauntlets behind it.
Shield of the Crusaders
Scroll through the quests that were added by talking to the fallen knights and select Wisdom of the Ages as your active quest. Go to Fort Bulwark, which is located in eastern Cyrodiil and is marked on your map. Make your way upstairs. Follow the corridor to the left and over a drawbridge. You will come to a room with pressure plates on the ground. Step on them in this order: left, middle, right, left. Continue to a room of guardians' statues, all with a small chest at their base. In the middle of this room is a large chest that will randomly have items in it. Take the items from this chest and place them in the corresponding chest by each glowing guardian. After all items have been placed in each of the eight guardians' chests, the items they hold will become obtainable. Starting from the door, pick up each of the items on the left, then head back to the door and pick up all items to the right. Another door will open. Go through and pick up the shield.
Mace of the Crusaders
Be sure that you have already acquired the boots. Journey to the chapel in Leyawiin, going down the stairs. Defeat the spirits and activate the Tomb of Saint Kaladas. You will be transported to a black space with the mace visible in the distance. With the boots equipped, a path will appear in front of you. Walk the path to the mace.
Greaves of the Crusaders
Return to the Priory Temple. At this point, you are presented with the greaves and told where to find the sword̵2;in Underpall Cave.
Sword of the Crusaders
Look on your map for the marker for Underpall Cave, which is between Bruma and Chorrol. Once inside the cave, continue down a linear path to the sunken fort. The first large room you enter will have a corridor leading off the same direction from which you entered the room. After avoiding a rock trap at the mouth of the cave that this corridor leads you to, you will battle with the remains of Sir Roderic, aka the holder of the sword. Use the Mace of the Crusader against him. After acquiring the sword, do not equip it. The sword is cursed in this state. Journey to Cheydinhal and enter the temple. Pray at the altar to lift the curse of the sword.
