Most Xbox 360 consoles have large hard drives that can be used to store game data, movies, music and pictures. When you insert an audio or MP3 compact disc into the Xbox 360, you can either listen to the music from the disc, or you can copy it to the hard drive for playback at a later time. Once the music is copied to the hard drive, the CD does not need to be inserted into the console for playback. Additionally, you can play back the music from the CD while playing your favorite Xbox 360 games.

Turn on the Xbox 360 by pressing the power button on the front of the console or the Xbox button on the remote control.

Open the CD tray, then insert the audio or MP3 disc. Close the tray.

Select “Rip CD” once the music player loads, which will happen automatically.

Deselect the tracks that you do not want to rip and click “Rip CD” again. The Xbox 360 will now save all of the tracks on the disc to the hard drive.
