How to Upload Movies to an Xbox 360

While primarily a video game console, the Xbox 360 can also be used as a video player. The easiest way to upload movies to your Xbox 360 is via USB flash drive. You can watch video directly from the device or copy the movies from the flash drive to your Xbox 360&'s hard drive. The Xbox 360 supports AVI, MPEG4 and WMV video formats.

Instructions

Viewing movies from USB Flash Drive

  Turn the Xbox 360 off. Connect the USB flash drive into any available USB port on the Xbox 360.

  Turn the Xbox 360 on. Scroll to the "My Xbox" menu. Select "Video Library."

  Select the name of the USB flash drive. Choose the movie that you want to play. Select "Play."

  Turn the Xbox 360 off. Connect the USB flash drive into any available USB port on the Xbox 360.

  Turn the Xbox 360 on. Scroll to the "My Xbox" menu. Select "System Settings."

  Select "Memory." Select the name of the USB flash drive. Select the "Videos" section.

  Choose the movie that you want to copy. Select "Copy." Select the "Xbox 360 hard drive." Repeat this step until you have all of the movies that you want copied to the Xbox 360.
