Instructions
Choose a wireless network standard. The adapter conforms to the three major standards--802.11g, 802.11b and 802.11a. The 802.11 connections are a series of radio communication standards that were developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. You can set up your standard on your base station. In general, the 802.11a receives less interference from other wireless devices.
Connect your wireless networking adapter to the back of the console. Press the tabs of the adapter in to insert them into the appropriate slots on the Xbox 360, then connect the USB cable to the USB port. Finally, flip the antenna up.
Go to "My Xbox" on the Xbox 360 dashboard and press "A" after scrolling to the tab called "System Settings."
Select "Network Settings" and then pick the option to "Configure Network."
Scan for your network by pressing the "A" button while the cursor is over the tab for "Basic Settings." If your connection is running, the console should recognize it. Finish your setup by selecting this network. You should now have the wireless signal you need to connect to Xbox Live.
