How to Make Carbon Fiber in Forza 2

The car decoration menu in Forza Motorsport 2 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 allows a deceptively deep level of customization, giving you the scope to create complex designs and texture effects that can then be taken online and shown off in the game's multiplayer mode. In this mode, it's possible to alter your car with a sleek carbon-fiber finish, lending a space-age sophistication to your vehicle that will set it apart from other racers.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose the car to apply carbon fiber to from the main menu of "Career Mode." Enter the menu and choose "Paint Car."

    • 2

Choose a solid silver or gray color for your car and press "A" to paint the car's base layer.

    • 3

Choose "Apply Vinyl Shape" and enter the "Stripes" section of the menu. Choose "Shape 17." Make this shape one shade of gray above solid black.

    • 4

Change the shape's dimensions to "X - 0.21," "Y - 36.61" and "Spin - 28.00." Apply this texture to the surface of your car, then copy and paste until the entire area you want to apply the carbon fiber to has been covered.

    • 5

Choose a new shape and pick "Shape 17" again. Make this shape a perfect mid-gray.

    • 6

      Give the new shape the dimensions of "X - 0.15," "Y - 36.61" and "Spin - 334.73."

    • 7

Apply the new shape over the top of your existing dark shapes. Copy and paste until you have applied these lighter textures to the entire area to be covered. The different dimensions and angles of your two layers will merge into a sleek carbon fiber texture.

    • 8

Click the left thumb stick to bring up the "Save" menu. Save your car to the Xbox 360's hard drive to finalize the application of carbon fiber to your car.
