Download a DVD-burning program to the computer's desktop, for example, the free BurnX program for a Mac or the free ImgBurn program for a PC. Double-click on the file once it has downloaded. Follow the menu prompts to install the program onto the computer. Restart the PC after the installation is finished.
Eject the DVD drive's disc tray. Put the blank recordable DVD onto the disc tray. Close the disc tray.
Double-click on the icon of the DVD-burning program to launch it.
Drag the video file onto the icon of the DVD-burning program to load it---the icon will be on the desktop if on a PC or in the Dock to the left or bottom of the screen if on a Mac.
Click "Yes" on any query window that asks to convert the video file into a DVD-compatible video file.
Name the DVD that is going to be made in the "Name" text field at the top of the DVD burning program's main screen.
Select "DVD-Video" from the "Disc Type" drop-down menu on the DVD-burning program's main screen.
Select the DVD drive from the "Devices" drop down menu on the DVD burning program's main screen.
Click on the "Start" or "Go" button on the DVD-burning program's main screen. Quit the DVD burning program after a progress bar or number counting column displays the fact that the DVD has been burned.
Eject the DVD drive's disc tray. Remove the DVD. Close the disc tray.
Turn on the Xbox. Eject the Xbox disc tray. Put the DVD on the disc tray. Close the disc tray.
Navigate in the Home menu to the "Video" icon. Select "Media Player" from below "Video." Select the DVD disc from the icons presented to the right of "Media Player." press the "X" button on the game controller to start the DVD playing.
