How to Play Fable 2 on Xbox Live

Released in 2008 by Lionhead Studios, Fable 2 is an Xbox 360 exclusive title. Categorized as an "action role-playing game (Action RPG)," Fable 2 drops the player into the mystical world of Albion nearly 500 years after the original Fable story. The player is charged with defending Albion from a great evil and is allowed to do so with righteous heroism or sinister manipulation. One of the most significant new features in Fable 2 is the ability to play cooperatively over Xbox Live.

Instructions

    • 1

Log on to Xbox Live with your Gold account.

    • 2

Boot up your Fable 2 game disc. From the main menu, select "New Game" or "Continue" to enter the world of Albion.

    • 3

Press the "Start" button and scroll down to "Options."

    • 4

Select the "Game" tab and scroll down to "Online Orbs." Change the condition switch to "Friends Only" or "Everyone." If you select the former, you will only see the orbs of Xbox Live friends near your location. If you select the latter, you will see the orbs of all online players near your location.

    • 5

Exit the menu and walk around the game world. If you selected "Everyone," you will see glowing orbs floating above the ground with Gamertags listed above. Each orb signifies another player currently playing Fable 2 standing at that location. If you want to play with friends, you will probably need to meet up at a specified location to find their orbs.

    • 6

Approach the orb of your desired cooperative partner. Press the "L1" button to interact with the orb and then press the "A" button. From the subsequent menu, you can give the player gifts, view stats or play cooperatively.

    • 7

Select "Interact" to play cooperatively. The player's profile window will appear on your screen. Select "Invite Player to Game" or "Join Session in Progress."

    • 8

Adjust "Gold," "Experience" and "Renown" allocation bars to determine which player receives the respective points. The default position is 50/50, meaning both players receive an equal amount. Once these amounts have been established, you can begin saving the world of Albion with your new partner.
