How to Change the Video Source From the XBox 360 Hard Drive to the Disc

The Xbox 360 isn't so much a gaming console as it is a multimedia box capable not only of playing games, but also of playing music, showing pictures, and allowing the Xbox 360 owner to watch his favorite videos as well. For the most part, it accomplishes all of its functions with admirable efficiency, but there is one area where the Xbox 360 is a little clunky. Switching between video sources--the location the Xbox 360 looks at for video files--can be tricky if you aren't sure what steps you need to take.

     Turn on your Xbox 360.

     Use the Xbox 360 controller to navigate to the "My Xbox" tab.

     Select "Video Source" and press the "A" button.

     Scroll down the list of available video sources until you find the "Disk" option. Highlight it and press "A." The Xbox 360 is now using the disk in the disk drive as the video source.
