Here's why and what you can do:
* Xbox Live Marketplace Closure: The Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 officially closed in July 2017. This means you can't purchase or download new games, DLC, or other content for the console.
* Legacy Games: You can still access and play any Xbox 360 Arcade games that you previously purchased and downloaded. However, you can't download them again if you delete them.
* Xbox One and Series X|S: Microsoft encourages users to upgrade to newer consoles (Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S) which offer access to a much larger library of games and services.
If you want to play games on Xbox 360:
* Existing Downloads: Play the games you already have downloaded on your Xbox 360.
* Physical Copies: You can still purchase physical copies of Xbox 360 games and play them on your console.
* Backwards Compatibility (Xbox One/Series X|S): Some Xbox 360 games are backwards compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Check the Xbox website for a list of compatible titles.
