How to Build Anything in Minecraft on Xbox Edition

Minecraft enables you to craft structures and objects out of the resources you collect in the world. Some items, such as redstone, enable you to build elaborate devices like alarm systems. More complicated objects require you to build additional tools first, such as a crafting table or a furnace. A crafting table will provide you with more crafting slots in which to combine items. If you don't want to gather resources manually, you can play Minecraft in Creative mode to receive access to unlimited resources.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the right trigger on your Xbox controller to dig at objects in the world around you. Walk over the blocks that drop from destroyed objects to add them to your inventory.

    • 2

Press the "X" button on your controller to open the Crafting menu. Change the material group by pressing the left or right bumper buttons on your controller. Select items from your inventory using the left analog stick and pressing the "A" button to craft them into new items. Crafted items will be placed directly into your inventory. Press the "B" button to exit the Crafting menu.

    • 3

Use the bumpers to navigate between items in your inventory. Press the left trigger on your controller to place items from your inventory into the world.

Create a crafting table out of four wooden planks. Place the crafting table in the world using the left trigger. Stand in front of the crafting table so your cursor is facing the table. Press the "X" button to open an enhanced crafting menu, enabling you to build more complicated items and structures.

Press the "Y" button to open your inventory. Organize your inventory using the "A" button to select and move items. Exit the inventory by pressing the "B" button. Press the "B" button to discard the item you are currently holding.
