How to Access the Gold & Items Your Ancestors Left Behind in Fable 2

In "Fable 2," you'll notice an Ancestor Chest that you'll be unable to open when you enter the guild. The game will indicate that it contains treasures that your ancestors left behind but that you won't be able to open it. In order to get inside the Ancestor Chest, you'll need to unlock the items within the chest by playing through a video on the Fable site. These tasks will gain you five special items you can remove from the chest and use in the game.

Instructions

  Visit Fable2.Xbox.com/Experience.aspx. Enter your date of birth and, provided you're of age, you'll be presented with a video you should watch from start to finish. Before you get any ideas about starting it up and going out for tacos, you should know that the video is interactive and you'll have to make choices as it plays out. You'll need to stay in your seat and be patient to complete the video.

  Select one of the three crowns presented to you at the end of the video. Each crown offers different prizes. The left crown offers the Lionhead Tattoos and the Hero Doll; the middle crown gets you the Chicken Suit; the right crown gets you the Scary Expression Book and the Pink Dye. Enter your Xbox Live information after selecting your prize to sync your winnings with your account.

  Replay the video/game to unlock all other ancestral items; the video lasts about 10 minutes. Make different choices along the way to see the various endings and help pass the time.

  Start your "Fable 2" game and journey to the Hero's Guild. Interact with the Ancestral Chest and, now that you've unlocked the ancestral items, you'll be able to open it. The five bonus items will be ready for your use.
