Pick out a weapon that complements your character's strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you used your experience points to increase your character's strength but neglected his defensive powers, consider using an Umbrella as your offensive weapon since it takes two strength points and adds three defensive points to the fighter.
Bring Giraffey along with you during the adventure. If you are looking for quick experience over everything else, get Giraffey as soon as possible. When Giraffey is following you, you receive an additional 10 percent experience boost as you complete the stage. Giraffey is found by digging up an "X" mark on the ground in the desert level.
Fight through the later levels of the game repeatedly. Stages like Ice Castle, Snow World and Wizard Castle are more difficult and contain tougher enemies, but they reward skilled players with larger amounts of experience needed to level up.
Play through "Castle Crashers" alone to keep all of the experience points to yourself. Although this game is more enjoyable with a friend or three helping you decapitate Barbarians, you will hoard every experience point if you can tough it out unaided.
