Complete the initial play-through of the game. In order to replay each level necessary to unlock Han Solo, you'll have to complete an initial storyline play-through of the levels. When you play a level on second play-through, you'll be able to change characters while playing and use each character's special skills.
Unlock C-3PO. C-3PO is in the level called "The Lost Temple." Look for a white cage at the end of the moving bridge to the right of the golden idol. Blast the cage with a bazooka and hit the barrel behind the cage to unlock the C-3PO character token.
Unlock Luke Skywalker. The "Into the Mountains" level is the secret home of Luke Skywalker. Locate two large brown bars at the end of the level. Jump down into the gap between these bars and land in front of an ice cave. Use either a bazooka or the Willie character's screaming ability to break the ice in front of the cave. The Luke Skywalker character token appears behind this ice wall.
Unlock Chewbacca. Find Chewbacca in the "City of Danger" level. When you encounter hieroglyphs near the broken truck, read the hieroglyphs to unlock the entrance to the cantina. Once in the cantina, switch to a child or small character. Crawl into the hatch to grab the Chewbacca character token.
Unlock Princess Leia. The Princess Leia character token appears in the level called "Free the Slaves." After letting a large number of slaves free, walk to the right side of the screen and find three ladder-like brown poles on the bottom of the screen. Climb down these poles. Find a pile of silver debris and use an evil character with a bazooka to destroy it; the Leia token should appear.
Unlock R2-D2. The last "Star Wars" character to unlock is R2-D2, who hides in the "Desert Ambush" level. At the very start of the level, jump on a nearby horse at the right of the screen. Ride the horse to the left side of the screen and jump up to the cliff. When you find a hook for your whip on the left side of the cliff, use the whip and pull down the hatch to reveal R2-D2's character token.
Purchase Han Solo. Once you have unlocked the five other "Star Wars" characters, you can purchase the Han Solo character from the between-levels university character token store. You will need 100,000 currency studs.
