How to Set Up a Wired Headset to Xbox Live

Xbox Live is the online community for the Xbox 360 gaming console. It allows players to set up their own profile, chat and play with other gamers from around the world. In order to win at these online games, communication between players is sometimes necessary. The Xbox 360 has a wired headset version that is sold separately, which has its own volume control and microphone attachment. No batteries are needed, because all you will need is an Xbox 360 controller to start talking on Xbox Live.

• Xbox 360 wired headset
• Xbox 360 controller

     Rotate the headset's control volume all the way to the left to lower its volume.

     Insert the headset connector to the controller expansion at the bottom section of the controller.

   • 3

     Wear your headset on top of your head and adjust the microphone distance. Ideally, the microphone should be an inch from the mouth and a little to the side.

     Turn the microphone opening toward your mouth. Then adjust the headset's volume to your desired level by turning the volume control left or right.
