How to Fly in Minecraft on the iPhone

In "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" for the iPhone, you can get a bird's-eye view of the world by making your character fly. The ability to fly was added to the game in update version 0.2.0. Flying enables you to avoid obstacles and move quickly across dangerous terrain, such as water or mountainous regions. This feature is only available in Creative mode; you cannot fly in Survival mode.

     Launch "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" and tap "Start Game."

     Tap "Create New." Give your new world a name.

     Tap "Creative" and then tap "Start."

     Double-tap the "Jump" button at the center of the directional pad to start flying.

     Hold down the "Jump" button while flying and then swipe your finger up or down to fly higher or lower.

     Double-tap "Jump" to land.
