How to Date a Madame Alexander Tag

Many Madame Alexander dolls didn't have tags; many of them are marked on the parts of the body like the head or back. Madame Alexander tags usually display the character name of the doll, or the Madame Alexander signature. None of the tags display the date the doll was produced, but based on the name of the doll you figure out its production date. Most of these tags were sewn into the clothing or dangled from the arms of dolls produced from 1930 to 1950.
