F-20 Farmall Tractor Information

The International Harvester company began manufacturing the F-20 tractor in 1932 in factories in Chicago and Rock Island, Illinois. The F-20 was an improved version of the International Harvester Farmall.
  1. History

    • International Harvester produced 154,398 F-20s between 1932 and 1939. The F-20's paint color changed from gray to red in November 1937. The F-20 tractor sold for $1,000 in 1936.

    Design

    • International Harvester was the first to introduce the tricycle style design in the predecessor of the F-20, the Farmall. The F-20 performed well in the field due to the tricycle-style design and its high ground clearance. The F-20 was more powerful than the Farmall.

    Specifications

    • The F-20 is a two-wheel-drive tractor. The F-20 weighs 4,400 lbs. The F-20 has a fuel tank capacity of 13 gallons, with .88 gallons in auxiliary. The F-20's drawbar has a rating of 20.7 horsepower, and its power take-off driveshaft has a rating of 26.67 horsepower.
