How to Open a Reliable Antique Safe

Having an antique safe in your home is a real treasure. However, if you use this safe for more than just looks, you need to know how to open it. Certainly, you would normally open such a safe using a key or by entering your combination. However, there is a way to open your antique safe, even if you forgot the combination.

Instructions

  Move the safe to an open area where you can work comfortably. Pull up or push down on the antique safe's handle as if you were opening the safe. Firmly hold the handle in place.

  Turn the antique safe's dial slowly to the right until it clicks. Turn it to the right two extra numbers. This will be your first number. Make note of it.

  Hold the handle in position firmly and turn the dial slowly to the left. The dial will stop on your second number. Take note.
- 4
  Hold handle in place, still, as you slowly turn the dial to the right. Once you reach the final number in your combination, the handle will engage and the door will open. Take note of the number its on when it unlocks. This is your final number.
