Things You'll Need
Instructions
Get a long pod sample. Look on trails, marches and open fields. Once you find a pod, put on your gloves and use the tweezers to pick it and place it into the plastic bag.
Feel and hold the pod carefully. Distinctive identifiers of the pod can be easily spoiled if handled roughly. Put the long pods in a plastic bag.
Categorize its characteristics so that you can reduce the type of long pod choices available.
Acquire a field guide at a local book store. Look for an equivalent in the long pod guide. The book will showcase long pods and isolate them by size, feel and color.
