How to Clean Hummel & Precious Moments Collectibles

Use a soft bristled makeup brush to do a general light dusting of your Hummel and Precious Moments figurines. Place a clean, folded terry cloth towel on a flat surface. Place your figurine on the terry cloth so that it is protected, in case it falls. Gently twirl the makeup brush over the figurine for basic dusting.

Use a small soft bristled artist's brush to dust in small crevices of your Hummel or Precious Moments figurine. Be careful not to hit the figurine with the hard handle of the brush as you work.

Use a clean, damp soft cloth to clean caked-on dirt. Dampen the cloth with warm water and a small amount of gentle liquid detergent or baby shampoo. Place a clean, folded terry cloth towel on a flat surface and lay the figurine flat on the towel to support it as you clean. Rub the figurine gently to clean off the dirt and then dry with a clean, soft cloth.

Use a cotton-tipped swab to clean caked-on dirt in the creases or small crevices of your Hummel or Precious Moments figurine. Pour a small amount of baby shampoo or other gentle liquid detergent into a small bowl of warm water. Mix the water until it begins to make suds.
