How to Set a Pearl Grandfather Clock

Pearl brand grandfather clocks run on weights that are powered by the energy in springs that are wound up. The hands are set manually by adjusting just the minute hand. Never adjust the hour hand -- this can damage the clock.

Instructions

      Push the minute hand gently with your finger to the accurate minute. Do not touch the hour hand. If the hour needs to be changed, do so by moving the minute hand 360 degrees for each hour.

      Wait 24 hours and check the accuracy of the time.

      Adjust the nut on the back of the clock to improve the speed and accuracy. If the clock is behind, loosen the nut. If the clock is ahead, tighten it.
