How to Display Antiques at Home

The look of your home is an extension of you we are. Whether you display your favorite collection or focus on high-tech gadgetry to decorate your living space, you tell visitors something about who you are by the things you display. It is possible to display certain antiques in your home without making it look like a museum. You can use antiques to spice of the decor in any room of your house, including the living room, kid's rooms or dining room.

  Add a wall shelving unit to your family room. Once it is finished, display any antique collections you have. This could be antique radios, wine bottles, books or anything else your have collected over the years.

  Display more personal antiques like perfume bottles, vanity mirrors or bathroom fixtures around your bedroom and bathroom. You can place them on counters or nightstands. You can also place a bookshelf in your bedroom to accommodate some of these items.

  Display an antique baseball bat and glove in your son's room by hanging them on a wall or building a shadow box around them. For a girl, you could add some antique dolls to an existing shelf or windowsill space or make shelves to display them.
