How to Find the Value of an Antique Veneer Vanity
Inspect the veneer vanity carefully. Search for any stamp marks, insignias or carvings that could indicate the manufacturer and the year it was made.
Photograph the veneer vanity from every angle. Take detailed photos of anything on the vanity that might indicate who made the vanity.
Research online or at the library any insignias or markings you discover on the vanity.
Research appraisers. Once you find a credible appraiser, get his permission to send your photos. Different appraisers have different techniques. If an appraiser charges a fee, make sure he runs a legitimate business. Appraisers normally evaluate the authenticity of an item and then assign an estimated price for the vanity at auction based on authenticity and condition.
