Create a Centerpiece
Use an uncovered glass candy dish or glass compote as the basis for a centerpiece. Choose a compote that is sized appropriately for your table. Place a pillar candle in the center and surround it with artificial flowers or greenery. As an alternative, surround the candle with glass pebbles, small fruits like kumquats, or nuts. Position one compote dish centerpiece on a small table or line up several on a longer table or buffet. Feel free to mix and match dishes if you are using several.
