Look at the bottom of the figurine to find the serial number and the figure's name. This information is essential to getting an accurate value. Don't just go by pictures, because several figures look similar. If you confuse one figure with another, you won't get an accurate appraisal.
Search eBay, Amazon or some other collectible auction site for the figurine for which you're seeking the value. While this won't give you an accurate appraisal, it does give you a starting point because you can see at what price other sellers value their figures as well as what bidders and buyers are willing to pay.
Consult a professional appraiser at a collector's store near you or online to get an accurate value for each figurine you have. This service is not free. You can also purchase lists online that provide you with each Precious Moments figurine's value.
Consult "The Official Precious Moments Collector's Guide to Figurines" by John Bomm. The book is published roughly every two years, so make sure you have the most recent edition available to get the current appraisal of your figurine's value. If you have a lot of figures, this book would be worth its cost.
