How to Identify Royal Bayreuth Rose Tapestry

Learn what the Royal Bayreuth marks look like. The company has used a variety of marks over the years, but being familiar with the ones they have used allows you the ability to identify authentic pieces. Some of the Rose Tapestry patterns include a blue mark bearing the name Royal Bayreuth above two lions facing each other and the words "PRIV 1974" written on a ribbon above the word "Bavaria" in capital letters. Other details include a helmet with plumage centered between the lions with the opening for the face turned to the left, a shield in the left lion's grip with the letter "P" on it, and a shield in the right lion's grip with the letter "T" on it.

Inspect the roses painted on the china. Usually, Rose Tapestry by Royal Bayreuth has one or two large roses as the prominent feature of the piece, depending on the size of the piece.
