      Go to Architectural Salvage, located at 614-618 East Broadway Street in Louisville, Kentucky. They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bring change for the parking meter if you shop during the week.

      Enter the first building, and you'll be greeted by the friendly and helpful staff. Need hardware for your refurbished home? You will find a vast array of doorknobs and locking mechanisms as well as old vent covers and trim. Even if you are not looking for hardware, you may find some of it so beautiful you'll want to buy it to use as art for your newer abode.

      Look through the stained glass and glass fixtures. Architectural Salvage has some beautiful stained glass windows in perfect or near-perfect condition. The average price ranges from $200 and up, so you can splurge just a little on yourself. Nice!
