Find a reliable book binder in your area. Ask friends, relatives or neighbors for someone they have used or would recommend.
Take your book to the bindery of your choice or send through the mail. This will depend on whether your bindery does mail order service.
Choose the style of cover you would like. At most binderies there are several options as well as cases to store books if you don't want to recover them.
Select the stamping color for the outside of your book. Since the old lettering will be covered or gone with the old cover, stamping the outside with the original information is essential.
Understand the book binder will need to decide whether re-casing is appropriate, if any portion of the original cover and spine can be used or if an entirely new cover and spine needs to be made.
Review your book with the binder and go over the finished product. Make sure that you are completely satisfied with the work before taking it home.
