Collecting antique chocolate molds is for those that have a passion for old things and chocolate. Antique chocolate molds from the 19th century are usually some type of metal and come in all shapes and sizes.   Make sure the chocolate mold is in working order if you plan on molding chocolate with it. That is the best thing about collecting this type of item; with proper care you can still use it for its intended purpose. A chocolate mold is no good if you cannot mold chocolate with it.

  Find a place to display your collection. You don't want to throw those pretty pieces back in the closet after using them. Select a space in your home that will suit your collection, and then maintain your restraint and don't buy any more than what will fit into that space.
