Things You'll Need
Instructions
Identify your coin as to country of origin, denomination and date. This info can be found on the faces of the coin.
Find an up-to-date price guide specializing in the type of silver coins that you have. Buy a guide that lists the silver content of the coins and grading criteria in addition to pricing information. These guides can be found at coin stores and most book stores.
Grade your coins using the guidelines in the price guide. Accurately grading coins takes significant practice, but if you follow the directions, you can come up with a rough grade that will help you price your silver coins.
Find the value of your silver coins in the price guide. Coins are listed by type, year and mint mark (a small mark on the surface of the coin that tells you where it was minted) in rows in these price guides. The values of the coins in common grades are listed in columns. Match your coins to their conditions to find the value of your coins.
