Research your coins and stamps so that you have an idea of their approximate value. Use coin and stamp catalogs and value guides to determine the selling prices. The Blackbook Price Guide to World Coins is a good place to start, as well as the Blackbook for World stamps.
Scan or take photos of the items you are selling. Group photos are good for sets, but any older ones should be photographed separately.
Place ads in classified and auction sites online advertising the items as sets or single pieces. If the items are being sold to other dealers, the price will have to be discounted. When selling to collectors, try to get the value guide prices.
Create a list of the coins and stamps and send it to collectors and dealers who advertise in the numismatic and philatelic magazines.
Join coin and stamp groups and clubs online and in your community. Get to know other collectors and dealers. If there is no local group, then consider starting one.
