Coin Collecting Inventory Programs

A coin collection can grow quickly as you learn more and buy more coins. A coin inventory program is a good way to managing a growing collection and can make it easy to keep track of what you have and what you need.
  1. Coin Collector's Assistant Plus

    • This program contains a complete United States coin database, with listings by date and mint mark. It also includes more specialized areas like Hawaiian and Colonial coins. There are two versions: one that does not have current retail values (which is less expensive) and one that has Coin World's retail values (which makes the program more expensive). It allows you to add coins not in the database, make multiple types of reports and track pricing information.

    Coin Elite

    • Coin Elite is one of the oldest software programs on the market and was first developed in 1989. It also provides a version with values included, and includes grading pictures and has its own built-in image editing program. It provides built-in descriptions and is less expensive than Coin Collector's Assistant Plus. A bonus of the program is that in addition to United States coins, it includes Canadian and Mexican coins.

    Coin Organizer Deluxe

    • One of the newer coin inventory programs on the market is Coin Organizer Deluxe. It offers a flexible database that can work with modern coins, ancient and medieval coins, and world coins. Its primary benefit to collectors is that it is easy to use, although it does not offer the features of the first two in terms of pricing data or numismatic (coin collecting) information.
