How to Buy Gold Coins From the United States Mint

The U.S. Mint frequently offers golf coins for sale to the public. From newer designs like the Presidential coins to remakes of classics such as the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, the Mint sells a variety of gold coins to collectors and speculators alike. Keep in mind that coins are usually only offered for a limited time. The easiest way to buy from the Mint is by ordering online.

Instructions

      Visit the U.S. Mint website at www.usmint.gov. Click on the link to "Shop Online" on the listing of links on the left-hand side of the home page.

      Peruse the links on the left-hand side of the catalog page for available coins. Find a listing for the gold coin you desire and click that link.

      Choose the quantity you want to order and click the link "Add to Cart."

      Click "Continue to Checkout" on the next page. You will then be instructed to create an account if you have not previously purchased from the U.S. Mint website. Follow the links to fill in your personal information, including shipping address and credit card number.

      Review your order. Approve your order and you will be provided with an order receipt, which you can print for safekeeping.

      Purchase coins in person at two locations in Washington, D.C. There is a kiosk located at Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, N.E., Washington, D.C., and in the lobby at the U.S. Mint Headquarters in Washington, D.C., at 801 9th Street, N.W.
