How to Find a Coin Appraisal in Chicago

If you are a coin collector and reside around the Chicago area, you may be curious as to what a particular coin is worth. Instead of trying to find it in a book or look it up online, head on over to one of the many local coin appraisal facilities within the city. You will want a reputable store that gives you fair prices and doesn't try to rip you off.

  Drive out to 2029 West 75th, Woodridge, Illinois. This n the outskirts of Chicago and is the largest stamp and coin company in the area. Driving to the location will also keep you from carrying your valuable coins around the city.

  Ask for an appraisal from one of the family members running the store. They should be able to give you a good idea as to how much your coin is worth. If you would rather call in and ask about the coin first--which may be a good idea--call Dr. Robert Friedman &Sons Stamp &Coin at 1 (800) 588-8100.

  Go to a different location before selling your coins (if you are selling). This will allow you to compare the two appraisals and see if they give roughly the same value to the coins. If you don't want to drive out for an appraisal head out to Brian Andrew And Associates, which is located in downtown Chicago at 203 N. Wabash Ave. The company specializes in only currency appraisal, from coins to paper money.
