One type of coin--the Mercury dime--which is actually known as the "Winged Liberty Head" was minted between 1916 and 1946. The Mercury Dime was minted at the Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco mints. A Mercury dime that does not have a mint mark was minted at the Philadelphia mint. Collectors can find a mint Mercury dime without a mark using a few basic steps to find one in an acceptable condition.
