Some 9.7 million numismatic Susan B. Anthony coins were minted as part of collector sets.
Identification
From the beginning, there were problems with the coin because it so closely resembled the size and appearance of the ordinary quarter. While a quarter measures 24.26 mm in diameter, the Anthony dollar measured 26.50 mm.

The Susan B. Anthony dollar coin weighs 8.1 grams.
History
The idea behind the release of the Anthony dollar was that a smaller dollar coin might encourage consumers to begin regularly using coins in this denomination again.
Considerations
The coin became so unpopular that a new dollar coin had to be released. In 2000, the Sacajawea dollar replaced the Susan B. Anthony dollar.
