How to Get Officially Licensed NASCAR Apparel

NASCAR memorabilia is a perk of being a NASCAR fan. Choosing a particular driver to show loyalty to gives a fan something to collect and makes gift giving for fans easier because it's known what they like when special occasions roll around. The challenge of being a collector is buying authentic NASCAR items, especially apparel. There are a lot of copycats that produce similar items, but usually these items are of lesser quality and not bearing an official tag. There are several resources for obtaining NASCAR apparel and ensuring that it is truly authentic and not a copycat.

  Visit a sports memorabilia, sporting goods or major retail chain store. These stores will carry a variety of officially licensed NASCAR apparel and memorabilia.

  Scour flea markets, garage, yard and estate sales. These are good places to find officially licensed NASCAR apparel, often brand new with tags.

  Verify authenticity of the NASCAR items regardless of where you purchase them from. This is particularly important when purchasing from a flea market or garage sale. Officially licensed merchandise will have a tag on the inside of the garment to denote it as officially licensed by NASCAR. If the item is new, a hanging price tag on the item will have a hologram and will also state it is an officially licensed product.
