VFR1200F
The VFR1200F is a relatively new model . Announced in 2009, the VFR1200F was revealed in 2010 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Designed to be a sport bike with reasonable comfort when touring, it features a state-of-the-art 1200cc V4 with a single overhead camshaft, which reduces engine size, making the bike light and maneuverable. The gasoline tank on the VFR1200F is one of the smallest offered on any Honda sport bike, holding only 4.9 gallons. A special feature of this bike is its optional new dual-clutch transmission--the first ever on a motorcycle--which eliminates the need to use the clutch to shift gears. The MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) starts at $15,999.
CBR1000RR
The CBR1000RR is a pure sport performance motorcycle. The base MSRP is $13,399. Innovative features include the Pro-Link Rear Suspension, which allows the motorcycle frame to remain rigid and maximizes control during turns. The frame is all aluminum and the C-ABS (Combined Anti-lock Braking System) evenly distributes braking to both wheels, allowing for faster, more efficient stopping. Featuring a flexible, proven, 1,000cc engine, the CBR1000RR was first introduced in 2008.
Honda Interceptor
The Honda Interceptor is a combination sport and cruise motorcycle. Without sacrificing performance, it is designed to be more comfortable than a typical sport bike when cruising on the open highway. The base MSRP for the Interceptor is $11,999. Standard features include a 782cc VTEC V-4 engine and an all-aluminum, twin-bar design to increase gas mileage and improve handling. The seat sits lower on the bike compared to many other sport models to improve comfort. The Interceptor does not have the power or speed of the VFR1200F or CBR1000RR.
CBR600RR
Since 2008, the CBR600RR has served as Honda's middleweight, 600cc sport bike. "Cycle World" magazine ranked the bike as the Best Middleweight of 2009. A middleweight bike is a mid-level performance bike suitable for racing. Such bikes have their own class in international racing. Despite its performance, the CBR600RR is still suitable for everyday driving. The seat has a foam cushion for additional comfort. The MSRP is $11,199 and the CBR600RR was the first middleweight bike to feature a Combined Anti-lock Braking System.
