How to Clean a Plush Boyds

Plush Boyd's Bears become members of your family when you bring them home, as they each seem to have their own personality. They occasionally get a bit dirty and need sprucing up, which, thankfully, is a quick and easy chore.

Things You'll Need

Washcloth
Vacuum cleaner
Laundry soap

Instructions

  Take the bear's clothing off (privacy, please!) and soak the clothing in cool water and a small amount of laundry detergent. Rinse thoroughly and lay flat to dry.

  Dampen a washcloth and gently rub it all over the fur, especially the belly (because they love belly rubs) and around the mouth (all those kisses from pretty girl bears). This removes any dust and evidence of dirty-handed hugs. Allow the bear to dry completely.

  Vacuum the Boyd's Bear to re-fluff its fur. You'll have to have someone hold the bear while you vacuum him or you can wait until the winter hibernation when he won't notice. This is a good time to clean the ears, too.
