Authentic Mickey Watch Instructions

The Ingersoll Waterbury Clock Co. produced the first Mickey Mouse watch model for the Walt Disney Company in 1933. The watch was initially intended for boys and was priced at $3.25, although the price was later changed to $2.95 to make it more affordable. Mickey Mouse watches were also given to Disney shareholders in the 1930s as a gift and these watches are now collector’s items and also produced as reproductions. There are a few steps to set an authentic Mickey Mouse watch.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the small knob on the right-hand side of the watch (the crown) out until you hear a click.

    • 2

Turn the crown until the desired time is reached on the watch face.

    • 3

Push the crown back in to the side of the watch.

    • 4

Turn the crown forward and backward to wind the watch. Stop winding when you begin to feel resistance.

    • 5

Do not wind more than 45 times. The watch is now set.
