Because of their popularity with both children and adults there is a huge following of fans that collect them. These cars come in a variety of styles and versions. Some collectors search for years for the perfect addition to their collection. There are several specific Hotwheels cars that are highly sought after by collectors.

They came in several different colors with a die cast metal chassis. The wheels have a red sidewall, called redline, and the interior is a white resin. There are orange and yellow surfboards loaded through the rear.

    • The Custom Cougar is a collectors Hotwheels car. It was made in 1968 and features a die cast metal chassis. There were several colors originally manufactured. The wheels had the redline walls. There is a white resin interior and plastic, clear windows.. This car was in the original 16 cars first put out by Hotwheels.

    The Beatnik Bandit

    • The Beatnik Bandit was one of the original 16 cars put out as Hotwheels and is now a collectors item. It was manufactured in 1968 and has a chrome die cast body. The motor sticks up through the hood. It was manufactured in a variety of colors and has a rounded buggy type body style made of chrome. The original tool made to cast the car was only used from 1968 to 1971.
