How to Display a Collection of Hot Wheels Cars

Hot Wheels cars are very collectible and have been in production since 1968. Many collectors have hundreds of cars that they have acquired over the years. Hot Wheels need to be protected to maintain value, as damage will decrease the amount of money they are worth. Displaying your collection is one way to show your pride in this interesting hobby. If you want to display your Hot Wheels collection, you should know how to do it properly to avoid damage to the cars.

Things You'll Need

Curio cabinet or glass enclosed shelf
Vinyl shelf liner
Scissors

Instructions

  Measure the shelves on your curio cabinet or enclosed shelving system. Measure them both front to back and side to side.

  Measure some vinyl padded shelf lining fabric to fit each shelf, and cut them out with your scissors.

  Place lining on each shelf. The vinyl padding will prevent the cars from rolling around on the shelf.

  Clean each Hot Wheels car so that is shiny and ready for display.

  Place the cars onto your shelves in order of year made or type, and securely shut the doors so that the collection is not disturbed by children or pets.
