Determine the condition of your Barbie. If your Barbie is brand new and in the box, you have hit the jackpot. If your Barbie, however, is missing a body part or an accessory that came with the set, has been colored on, has had it's hair cut, is faded, or has any holes in its clothes, you are going to have to sell your Barbies at a yard sale. Any kind of wear and tear on a Barbie really makes it worthless except to a innocent child browsing a yard sale.
Use a professional to find a starting price for your Barbie. If you believe you have some Barbies that are worth some money, pay the $5 to have a professional to look it over and give you an estimate. The professional may even be able to give you some advice on some local places you can sell your Barbie. You will also have the knowledge of what the Barbie is worth so you won't get taken by any shifty brokers.
Sell your Barbie in an online auction. When you list your Barbie, give as many details as possible and always include pictures. Take a picture from each angle so the buyer knows what quality they are getting. It should be clear that you are not hiding any blemishes.
Make sure you wrap your sold Barbie in a sturdy box, and pack it with those shipping peanuts. You don't want it to get damaged in any way before it reaches the buyer.
Go to collector shows. You can network and sell your Barbie dolls in this way. It is also a great way to meet fellow collectors. Collectors often have even other ideas for selling your Barbies.
