Uncover a World of Vintage Disney Toys to Collect
Find out how much those vintage toys are worth. Buying a good vintage toy price guide such as The Official Hake's Guide to Character Toys (or borrowing one from your local library) will give you up-to-date information on the going value for vintage Disney toys.
Join a Disney toy discussion group online. There is a very active Disneyana discussion group on eBay (see Resources below) and it is a great place to go to ask questions and exchange information with others who collect vintage Disney toys. If you are looking for information about a certain item or trying to find something specific, this is a helpful place to start.
Search eBay's auctions (see Resources below). After you have joined eBay's Disney toy discussion group, stick around and look for vintage Disney toy auctions by using the site's search feature. You may be surprised at the sheer volume of auction hits you will get. Spend some time browsing what's for sale and bid on some cool additions for your collection.
Make use of Craigslist (see Resources below). This free, online classified ads website is a useful place to go to search for people in your local area who are selling vintage Disney toys.
Remember that estate sales are your friend. Sometimes, a person's entire estate has to be sold (there are a variety of reasons for this). The classified ads in your local newspaper will have announcements of such sales and the type of items to be sold there. When you see a listing for an estate sale that includes Disney toys, be sure to attend.
