How to Sell Bulk Comics Online

Every comic collector dreams of selling that one magical book that nets him thousands of dollars. In truth, very few comics create such high demand. The rest are routine also-rans, valued more for their art or storylines than for their quality as an investment. When selling off a comic collection, you can often do better by bundling your lesser-valued comics and presenting them in bulk. They tend to move more quickly and you won't end up with odds and ends in your collection that you can't get rid of.

  Evaluate the condition of your comics. Comics in mint or near-mint condition sell a lot better than those in poor condition.   Price all of the comics in your collection. You need a decent idea of what you can get before you sell, and you don't want to include a valuable rare comic in the midst of a lot of bulks.   Organize your comics into bundles based on their perceived worth and the number of comics in your collection. Particulars vary depending on the comics you have. Generally speaking, you want to keep the issues from a given comic book title or featuring a particular superhero in the same bundle.

  Set a price for each comic bundle. This will vary depending on how many comics are in each bundle. Start with the collective cost of all the comics in the bundle, then subtract a little. You can also search comic shop forums for willing buyers, but the organized sites provide protection that guarantees there are no misunderstandings or swindles. Follow their instructions for placing your items on their sites; some may charge an upfront fee or collect a small percentage of the take. Be prepared to meet any reasonable buyer demands, such as packaging the comics safely for shipping.
